Final Due Dates

The final due dates for the 6th 6 weeks are:

Last day for tutorials:     Wednesday 5-16-12 at lunch

Last day for late work:   Thursday 5-17-12 by 3:30pm

Last day to turn in extra credit:     Friday 5-18-12 by 3:30pm

Grades Closed

Grades for the 5th 6 weeks are now closed and verified.
Report Cards go home on Friday 2-24-12

Cellphone and Electronic Equipment in the Classroom

The use of electronic equipment and cell phones in the class has become an issue.  As a result, starting with the new grading cycle ( 3rd 6 weeks), the Bellaire and HISD policy on these items will be enforced in the classroom.

"NO headsets, headphones, Ipods, CD players, or any other type of electrinic equipment are permitted on campus without aplha Assistant Principal written approval. Confiscated electronics will be turned in to the Alpha Assistant Principal.  These items will be returned to the parent with no charge. Cell phone use is restricted to before and after school outside the building-not inthe courtyard. Cellphones must be turned off at all times on school grounds. Confiscated phones will be returned only to the parent in accordance to HISD policy. There is a $15.00 fee for the return of cell phones."

Please keep all electronic equiptment off, in you pocket or backpack and not out or visable during class.
This policy will strictly enforced beginning Monday November 14, 2011.

It's school policy.  It's HISD policy. It's my job to enforce it.

2nd Cycle Progress Reports

The 2nd 6 weeks is actually only 5 weeks in length.  Progress reports will come home on Friday 10-21-11.
The grades for the Progress Report were stopped on Tuesday 10-18-11. This allowed time to grade assignments, enter them in the system, print them out and generate additional notices if needed.  Any work turned in after 10-19 will be graded and in the system by Monday 10-24-11.

Parents, please remember to sign the Progress Report and the Failing Notice ( if attached )

Deadlines for 2nd 6 weeks

The following are the deadlines for the 2nd 6 weeks grades:

Last day for Make-up/tutoring - Monday October 31, 2011 at lunch

Last day to turn in any late work - Tuesday November 1, 2011 by 3:30pm

Last day for extra credit - Wednesday November 2, 2011 by 3:30pm

Abandoned Items

Anything of importance left in class will be kept in a safe location until the end of the week. On Friday afternoon, all unclaimed items will be disposed of.  The exceptions are:
Textbooks - will be returned to the book room
Money and jewelry - returned to an AP

I am not responsible for any items left in the room.
If you came into the room with it, you should leave with it.
